Whether you are new to Pilates, an Intermediate student or an experienced Pilates Teacher, this workshop will unlock stumbling blocks about inversions, handstands and the more intimidating Walkover using the Ladder Barrel.

  • Review essential Foundational exercises that must be incorporated into your lessons generally and before attempting barrel work and inversions, including the Walkover.

  • Review the Spine Corrector, Baby Arc and Ladder Barrel to deepen your knowledge, and create strategies to make it easier for you to evoke effective change in your clients safely and confidently.

  • Review postural analysis to understand arches and as the perfect starting point to assessing your /(client’s) individual needs, as well as how to build a balanced program.

  • Understand how to progress a student with periodic “wins” that can potentially lead to more advanced inversions.

  • Observe and practice the hands-on cues that will support backbend exercises.
